then i urge you to start with that asap!

Then after you installed it, you can install small extension for the browser, which will make surfing even more fun!
There are loads of extensions which you can find here, but here are some that i use:

For basic users:
Image Toolbar
Saving often pictures you see on a webpage to your own pc?
With this extension you only have to hove over the image and then click on the small icon that appears.
The image will be saved directly to the predefined folder on your pc.

Adblock Plus
Easily select which items you want to block on a webpage (like ads). A lot of ads websites are already there so you already will see less ads!

Adblock Plus Filterset Updater
If you installed the Adblock Plus extension then you definitly need to install this one as well. This will update your filters with newly found filters!

Download Statusbar
I dislike how Firefox shows you a window where your downloads are shown, but i stil like to see if my download finished yet. Therefor i use this extension which shows your current downloads in your statusbar.

For more advances users:
CookieSafe
I prefer to decide what cookies are placed on my pc. Cookies can be used to track your surfing behaviour.
Some site need to place a cookie, so sometimes you want to allow that. This extension lets you decide for each website that wants to save a cookie on your pc if you want to allow that or not.
